one advanced hike went to Vermont second highest peak and got to cross snow left from the ski season. The other advanced hike with Fiona from Australia and Alexandra from Michigan, set a record for one of our hikes. We reached the summit by 10:10 and fished an 8 mile hike by 2pm including a lunch break. And our guide on our beginner hike today forgot to take some pictures with her own camera.
ATA's mascot after his first swim of the 2016 season, it hit 80 degrees for the first time today. Aeolus is very excited for opening day tomorrow. He’s smiling from droopy ear too droopy ear itching to hike and kayak.
Opening day for the 2016 hiking season starts tomorrow and yes that is snow. With a record cold and dry spring the ski resort still is open on weekends.
Proud to announce for the 2nd year in row we’ve received a @TripAdvisor #CertificateOfExcellence for 2016! Thanks to all our guests for reviewing us!
While setting up the hiker room I took some photos from around the Summit Lodge. Here are just SOME of the improvements the new owner has accomplished. Such as: New internet system, new rugs, wood floors, teak patio furniture, outdoor grill and much more! The list of improvements is very long, you can just feel the excitement around the lodge with new owner!
It’s only ONE week to opening day and our first hike of 2016 season! We are very excited especially Aeolus the beagle mascot and to see a lot of returning hikers have booked a repeat stay.
